Osteria Veglio La Morra, Langhe

As I may have written, the Langhe are one of my favorite places in Italy.
Wonderful wines, hills covered with castles and small fortresses as far as the eye can see that look like many jewels, colors that alternate between the bright ones of spring up to the orange ones of autumn that fill my heart every time I go there.
A one-day trip from Milan for wine tasting and lunch is always worth it, all the more so if the final place to visit is the Osteria Veglio in La Morra, near Alba.
The scenery, for those who know the area, is really to take your breath away; touch extra, if you spend it in spring or on a beautiful sunny autumn day, you can have the choice to eat outdoors where several tables are housed on a real rooftop terrace on the Langhe.

While waiting for the first dishes to arrive on the table the attention is all for the sight and the colors of spring in the midst of flowering.
The lunch opens with a classic of this land, one of my favorite dishes: the tuna veal! Wonderful tuna sauce and delicious and delicate meat, every time this dish eaten in these parts of Italy manages to surprise me for the dichotomy between finesse and explosion of flavor!
If you desires to try something alternative, the Finanziera will not disappoint the expectations: here it is made in a light way (as easily as this dish can be!) although it continues not to be definitely a dish that touches my strings... already catches a glimpse of the rooster crests had some effect on me!

I loved the two first dishes I tasted.
The tajerin with rabbit sauce, the pasta is as always in these very tasty and beautiful yellow areas!
The same can be said for the pappardelle with spring onions, tasty, soft and crispy at the same time, a great satisfaction bite after bite!

Finally, standing ovation for the desserts, super greedy but equally delicate.
Panna Cotta, another classic of these parts, not one of my favorite desserts, but here you can't help but worship it! Very good served in this case with jam.
My choice fell on a yogurt mousse drowned under a mountain of strawberries with the addition of crispy pieces of white chocolate, a real treat!
