The combination of natural wine and simple and rustic dishes certainly has an extra gear at the enoteca-osteria Associazione Salumi e Vini Naturali in Corso Garibaldi in Milan. Not only for the quality of the fresh cold cuts sliced (the ham cooked with truffle is divine!) or for the choice also of naturally leavened focaccia but above all for the possibility in this season to enjoy the courtyard in the back of the room, a garden bordered by high historical walls that are a bit reminiscent of Rome, tables embellished with small candles that at sunset give a romantic atmosphere and a large table where you can meet for a pleasant evening with friends outdoors. Wine list, mainly Italian, which also includes a small selection of orange wines.
I tasted the Mary of Modena Brut Nature, Classic Method of the Il Farneto farm, a winery in the Emilian hills of Scandiano and Canossa that produces local wines according to biodynamic agriculture: it is recommended to accompany the platter of cold cuts and cheeses. There are also available some dishes from the kitchen to continue for dinner, currently in the menu pochè egg with asparagus, octopus and potatoes and Piedmontese beef tartare. If you are in Milan I suggest you stop and relax in this small city oasis!
