If you find yourself wandering around Malasana in Madrid and you get a certain appetite there is a place that could be right for you, the Mercado de San Ildefonso.
A space with an industrial design, style from street food market to the east, a series of counters with offers ranging from tacos to tapas, from burgers to selected wines, an ideal stop both gastronomic and for a break at lunch, and to find yourself having a drink for the aperitif. I wanted to taste the Arepas, a small circular bread prepared with white corn flour (derived from Venezuelan hermitage) then apparently light, 4 pieces stuffed with beef and cheese (good spice of the meat but a little stopposa), chicken meat and avocado (cold!), tiburon (squaletto) with banana and avocado (not to my taste) and one with black beans that was definitely my favorite. They are extremely rich and a bit heavy, low cost (10 euros for 4 pieces) but I recommend you try something more! And you will have your choice!
