La Mortella is a beautiful Mediterranean and subtropical garden created since 1958 by Lady Susana Walton and Sir. William Walton (famous English composer).
It is definitely worth a visit when you are in Ischia, it gives a few hours of relaxation, nature scents and the feeling of being in a magical place. With great attention to detail, it includes various areas that can be visited on foot and that in some places offer views directly overlooking the sea. For an orchid lover like me it was a joy to be able to admire and photograph beautiful and colorful. Compared to the gardens is very close to the Negombo thermal park which gives direct access to the beach of San Montano (equipped with umbrellas).
