La buca di san Francesco, Assisi

​If you find yourself taking a tour of the wonderful Assisi, my advice is to reserve a table at the Buca di san Francesco (it is very well known and appreciated so you risk not finding a place if you show up without reservation! Ask for a table in the first room or outside): very scenic rustic environment with stone walls, very quick service, typical regional cuisine prepared and presented in a simple but tasty way! 
And a really competitive price for the quality offered and the location.

​I recommend Bruschetta fantasy as appetizer and among the first plates try the Umbrian Imbrecciata which is a soup of typical regional legumes and cereals (the dish of Buon Ricordo! You can also collect your favorite dishes in some Italian trattorias that join the initiative!).

​In the seconds the Grilled Sausage from Umbira is really tasteful; I paired the sweet and sour onions with Balsamic vinegar, excellent to refresh La Buca di san Francesco if you pass by Assisi!
