For all of you, friends, lovers good Italian cuisine and our beautiful locals welcomed in some of the most wonderful cities that the whole world envies us, my advice for Vicenza is to take the Garibaldi of the young chef Lorenzo Cogo as a reference point for your gourmet breaks. Located in the middle of the old town in front of the Palladian Basilica, here you can start your day with a great breakfast (the pastry corner is very inviting!), take a trip for lunch at the Bistrot or arrive at the aperitif time and stop for dinner, practically an offer that welcomes you almost at any time of the day... and what an offer! There's even the ice cream corner! Ten flavors including 5 fruit, a ginger special and a gourmet taste that changes every week. I had the pleasure of tasting some dishes at lunchtime and was very pleased. Two excellent versions of flatbreads (tattered, sesame and chanterelles and friggitelli and porchetta). Meat salada, onions and pioppine mushrooms. Potato and Jamon croquettes Scottona tartare, parmigiano waffle, Iberian colli truffle and raspberries (wonderful! Beautiful balance of flavors!) Pumpkin ravioli on turnip tops and sunflower seeds and salted lemon (very delicious) Cod carpaccio, mango chutney and summacco powder
Great end of lunch. White chocolate, cod and citrus on a black olive biscuit. The 'Querina' is definitely one of the most amazing desserts I've ever tasted. And also very elegant to see
