An elegant setting in the centre of Noto, attentive service, an important wine list and the idea of bringing to the table traditional Sicilian dishes revisited with creativity and innovation, make Restaurant Crocifisso a place to plan a lunch or dinner for gourmet tourists. I opted for a 5-course tasting course. A 'Welcome' worthy of the term: sablè with oil butter, caper, anchovy marinated in vinegar and tomato powder along with smoked potato meatball and cod with aioli sauce above and below, delicious is very cute in the presentation (the octopus on Moro's head). Then we proceed with Bread, Panelle and Red Shrimp, lemon ricotta and canasta lettuce, all presented in the form of a burger. Very good the shrimp but overall a range that lacked a bit of flavor. Then mussels, Caciocavallo and Salicornia, a very delicious dish with the best mussels I have ever eaten! ‘Chitarra alle sarde': pine nuts, raisins, fennel, saffron sauce, a really tasty dish. A 'Matalotta' hedgehog, with tomato, oregano, onion and black olives, only precisely I would have cooked a little less fish slice. Predessert: orange cream with tangerine sorbet ball, freshness and acidity ideal to wait for the last course.
The dessert: ricotta cannoli with pistachio ice cream, a truly successful classic Sicilian combination (the ice cream, great taste, lightens the cannoli with its freshness).
