Homemade bread with leavening for over 12 hours, tasty raw materials and creativity in combinations are the main ingredients of the stuffed sandwiches that you can eat next to Ponte Vecchio in Florence at Amici di Pontevecchio. I had the pleasure of tasting some 'covaccini' (Tuscan term to indicate a type of sandwich without salt obtained with a leavening of 14h at 3-4 ° of temperature that here has become the proper name of the creations of Stefano, the owner) and I must say that I liked them all! Really tasty, crispy pasta, tasty fillings without tiring and (do not blame me #pizzalovers) almost to compete with a good pizza (which alternatively you can also find here in the form of stuffed pizzas). I started with the 'Gold': finocchiona, gorgonzola and orange mustard, my favorite! Exquisite!
