Near Trapani there is a country farmhouse, a simple and rustic place, which enhances the products of your farm through the dishes of the menu, the farmhouse Vultaggio. You can eat typical Sicilian dishes by finding yourself in a pleasantly familiar environment, perhaps a bit noisy but definitely authentic. You can taste bread and slow-rising pizzas obtained from their flours of Tumminia and Senator Cappelli, two ancient Sicilian grains with which the fresh pasta is also kneaded. And so fruit, vegetables and extra virgin olive oil have all been produced locally for almost a hundred years. Extensive proposal then of the menu that ranges from pizzas, to selections of Sicilian cheeses DOP up to appetizers, first and second typical dishes of the territory. Recommended departure with the 'Gran Buffet' i.e. 12 appetizers served all together at the same time, a good start I would say! Good to die for as a first dish busiate with pesto with trapanese: fresh homemade pasta with Nubia red garlic, fresh tomato, basil, almonds, extra virgin olive oil, chilli, to be added to part crumb of Sicilian bread and pecorino. You'll want to eat another dish despite the generous portions! Also noteworthy are the grilled dishes, specialties of the house: very tasty sausage and Grilled Nebrodi pig.
I recommend a visit to this trattoria if you are in the area!
